Coming at ya with another wonderfully joyful and gorgeous engagement session from last Friday at North Point Lighthouse and Bradford Beach in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! Goodness gracious am I glad we took the leap and decided to still meet before the government put the “shelter in place” order in earlier this week. This had been a long time coming for us! Sam and I started chatting back in 2018!!! With everything unfolding before our eyes with Covid-19 we did talk about post-poning her engagement session but we both decided if we take precautions and are wise about how we shoot we weren’t going to let this virus stop us! It looked a little bit different than a typical engagement session. I couldn’t give them a big ol’ hug upon meeting them in person for the first time, which was so hard for me.  I couldn’t personally fix her hair myself if a piece was out of place, and we did our very best to stay the ordered 6 feet apart. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous having to change up the way I run an engagement session but as soon and Sam and Josh pulled up that all went away. Talk about the definition of a Jessica Brooke couple. When my couples feel like friends it makes my job so easy! If I could clone these two and photograph them forever I would! Sam’s smile was contagious and she and I were cracking jokes and laughing as we went along. Pretty sure Josh was entertained by how hyper we both were the whole time. They were both so positive and fun-loving even with the harsh winds and chilly temps we were facing being on the beach. I felt like I barely had to direct them at all throughout the whole session because they were just so natural at loving on each other in front of my lens! 🙂 Josh was a great sport and also impressed me with how natural he was in front of the camera!

Josh and Sam have been together for 7 years and you can tell. They are connected in a way that you can feel. A connection that can only be formed as time goes on and you continue to choose the person standing in front of you. They see each other fully and it’s a privilege to be able to photograph that.  They’re getting married this fall and it is going to be such an amazing day seeing these two come together as one. Enjoy a look into their sweet session. Love you two! <3
