I have so much joy sharing these two love birds on the blog today! I had the pleasure of meeting Tony and Laurel this summer at Kelsey and Dakota’s wedding! Laurel was one of Kelsey’s bridesmaids and was the sweetest thing that whole day! When Laurel reached out to me about her own wedding happening in 2020 I was so excited! Not only is she just gorgeous, she’s even more gorgeous on the inside. Also knowing and working with one of her best friend’s Kelsey it was clear that we’d be a good match! It’s the ultimate compliment when a bridesmaid from a past bride’s wedding of mine wants me to be her photographer too. <3
Tony and Laurels engagement session was just about as sweet as it could get. We actually drove out to my dear friend’s home where she owns a few acres of land that we took advantage of! Fun fact: As you scroll through take note of the giant tree branch that fell. (Before we arrived of course! haha!) I saw it and knew we had to walk over to it. It made for some EPIC shots of Tony and Laurel…I don’t even like the word epic, but that’s the only fitting word. It was giving me major Forest Gump vibes…if you know you know. My friend’s husband was actually going to chop it up and throw it in the barn as firewood days before we were going to do their engagement session! I guess he ended up not getting around to it and I’m so glad! haha! Definitely some of my favorite shots from the whole evening!
The fall colors were at the peak and the weather wasn’t too cold yet. There was just enough sun and cloud coverage that we we could walk to just about any spot we wanted. We laughed a lot, I taught Tony how to nuzzle, (he was a pro) and Laurel looked flawless in every shot! 🙂 I’ll be counting down the days until their wedding next year at The Mill in Chetek, WI! It’s going to be a beautiful day. In the meantime, enjoy a preview from their engagement session! <3
