Where to even begin with their day. We pulled into the driveway of Allison’s family home that morning and there was a tangible peace in the air. Allison and I had chatted weeks before about her heart for their wedding day. She wanted it to be calm, laid back, and most importantly joy filled and full of Jesus. I’m telling you right now that’s exactly how the day went.
I knew as soon as I met Caleb and Allison that their wedding would be nothing short of wonderful. Allison is someone who when you’re talking to her you know she’s listening to you because you can see in her eyes that she cares about you. She’s kind, beautiful, and has a smile that lights up the room. Caleb is a true gentlemen. He’s gentle but strong and his zest for life is unmatched. It’s clear that the joy these two have for one another, for other people and for life is beyond them alone. Jesus truly shines through them and it was such a blessing to witness that on their wedding day.
Allison’s family home is nestled out in the country on a 40 acre lot, which lemme tell you right now was this photographer’s DREAM. Mature trees, trails, tall grassy fields, open sky…sigh. It was breathtaking. The reception was held right on their land as well in a gorgeous white tent complete with rustic wild flower boxes and so many magical twinkle lights. Their day was filled with countless sweet intentional moments I won’t soon forget such as the exchanging of letters they wrote to one another, or their first look where Caleb saw his bride dressed in white for the very first time. One of my favorite parts of the whole day was watching Allison’s grandpa play his guitar and sing to them during their first dance. I think that has to be one of the most meaningful first dances I’ve seen. (Also her grandpa was freaking talented. Goodness.)
I hope by looking through some of my favorite moments from their day that you’re able to feel their deep love for one another. Caleb and Allison, you two are the real deal. God has grand adventures in store for your marriage. Soak it all in and keep running the race He’s set before you. Keep spreading joy and Jesus. I have no doubt you will. I love you both!
