Dakota and Kelsey’s engagement session this week was an absolute blast! I was so excited for this session for too many reasons to count. #1 being shooting engagements during FALL IN WISCONSIN. I’ve been in Texas for the last two years so all of the rich colors, Kelsey’s hunter rain boots, Dakota’s flannel and the crisp air has got me feeling some type of way and I’m not mad about it! Seriously couldn’t have asked for a more fun time with these two. We did all of their photos on Dakota’s family land which was tucked right outside of town. It was acres and acres of fields and trails and trees. I was overwhelmed by how many great options we had for their session! What a great problem to have! 🙂 The best part? We scouted the land in this old school Jeep that’s been in Dakota’s family forever. It was such a blast. Dakota and Kelsey are exactly what you’d think. Joyful to their core. So easy to get along with and laid back. Genuine and kind. The best kind of people.
Dakota is a year older than Kelsey and they actually both attended the same high school but never noticed one another until years later when Dakota’s cousin really introduced them. It’s amazing to me how God waits until it’s the perfect time to collide two lives into one. He was probably up in heaven watching these two in high school, seeing them pass one another in the halls thinking “Yup. That’s your person. You just don’t know it yet.”
I’m so looking forward to their wedding next August! Until then, enjoy a glimpse into their precious engagement session.
