I’m trying to think back to when I first met Jared and Liz…honestly, it’s hard to remember exactly when because it seems I’ve known them for such a long time. Crazy how time flies. I do remember thinking really early on when they made their relationship “official” that they weren’t your typical high school couple. I always had a feeling based of their personalities that they would be one of the lucky few that meet their person early on in life. It was clear as day that they were in this for the long haul.
Back in the day Jared was learning how to do sound for our worship band and killing it, and I had the opportunity of getting to know Liz within a freshman bible study I co-lead. Jared and Liz are two old souls. They are two of the kindest, most down to earth people I have ever met. As the years passed Jared eventually became our full-time sound guy, and Liz would faithfully come to every Friday night rehearsal just to support and encourage Jared simply by being there with him. She may not know it, but it made an impression on me. She was dedicated to him, even at a young age, and it was a beautiful thing to witness.
Over the years their young love flourished into something bigger and better than either of them could ever have imagined. I truly feel so honored to have had the opportunity to watch their love grow and mature over the years…and now, here we are gearing up for their wedding day and more importantly their marriage! When Liz messaged me asking to shoot their wedding, It brought tears to my eyes. From leading them in worship and bible studies, to watching them literally grow up together, to seeing how deeply they love Jesus, and now to capture their wedding day…well there aren’t really words for how much it means to me. I love you both, Jared and Liz. The best is yet to come.
