Today I am honored and privileged to be sharing an extra special wedding with you. This one is especially near and dear to my heart because it is my not so little sister’s wedding blog post! Agh! What? It’s still surreal sometimes! This past month Jenna married the love of her life, Garret in the beautiful state of Idaho. I had never photographed a wedding AND stood up as the maid of honor so I was a little nervous about it all considering I was also about 3o weeks pregnant. BUT I am SO glad that I was able to do this for her. Honestly it was the best because most of the time the wedding party doesn’t get to be around for things like the first look or those little in between moments that photographer is always present for. I really got the best of both worlds and had the opportunity to experience her whole day right along side her. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
She was truly the most beautiful bride I’d ever seen. Jenna is pure hearted, absolutely stunning and she shines so bright. The white dress and the details really just accentuated all of that in her. She was glowing from head to toe with beauty and with joy. I think my mom and I cried about two billion times that day.
We went out looking in the famous Idaho Falls canyons for the perfect first look spot and we found right along side the road. I still don’t know if we were technically allowed to stop there or not…but we did and it was SO worth it. Just wait until you see that backdrop! Can I shoot in Idaho all the time please?! Garret pulled up in his white jeep just beaming with anticipation to see his bride. The first look was probably my favorite part of the day. His reaction was the sweetest ever. Garret is the kindest, most thoughtful and deeply loving guy. He loves my sister so well and I’m incredibly thankful to have him as my brother now! What a gift you are to our family, Garret. You couldn’t fit in more perfectly with us. Also, that beautiful wooden ring box you’ll see in some of the pictures below? Yeah. He made that. How stinking sweet is that!?
I could go on and on, but I’m going to let the photos speak for themselves. It was a perfect day that I’ll cherish in my heart forever. I love you so much, Garret and Jenna. Aaron and I pray for you both everyday and we’ll always have your back through the years.
Enjoy a look into my favorite moments from their day. <3
